River Ridge Ranch & Institute

River Ridge Ranch & Institute is a 722-acre nature preserve and nonprofit in the Sierra foothills near Springville that teaches sustainable and regenerative land use, ranching and natural resource conservation. Each spring and fall it hosts free outdoor-education days for Tulare County school children, including a Trout in the Classroom watershed program, and partners with universities on land-management research. Visitors can stay overnight in cabins or tents, attend retreats and gatherings at its pavilion, and hear free Sunday Series concerts in spring and fall.
