Homeless Garden Project
Santa Cruz, California
The Homeless Garden Project runs a Community Supported Agriculture program growing certified organic produce at Natural Bridges Farm in Santa Cruz, cultivated by trainees, volunteers, and staff as part of the nonprofit's job-training and support services for people experiencing homelessness. CSA members buy a seasonal share and receive weekly baskets of organic vegetables, plus one of the project's organic food products every other week. A U-Pick share option lets members harvest their own vegetables at the farm.
