Mycolab Solutions, run by Wyatt Bryson, is a mycological laboratory on the 15-acre family-owned Jewels of the Forest Fungi Farm in Occidental. It provides fungal education, consulting on small-scale mushroom production, and laboratory services such as DNA testing and species development. Visitors and customers can buy mushroom spawn, substrate, plugs, cultures, and growing supplies. Much of the spawn is made from spent beer grains, coffee grounds, and wood chips sourced locally in Sonoma County.
