McRitchie Winery & Ciderworks is a family-owned winery and cidery on about 30 acres in North Carolina's Yadkin Valley, founded by Sean and Patricia McRitchie, who planted their first vines in 2004 and opened in 2006. The estate vineyards are farmed using sustainable, low-impact methods, and the dry wines are made from estate- and locally grown vinifera and French-American hybrid grapes. McRitchie was the first hard cider producer in North Carolina, making sparkling apple ciders in semi-sweet and dry styles plus seasonal sour cherry and cranberry releases.
