Graveyard Fields Trail

Canton, North Carolina

Graveyard Fields is a hiking area at Milepost 418.8 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, about 37 miles southwest of Asheville. A trail of roughly 3 miles round trip loops through a stream-filled valley to two waterfalls, the Lower (Second) Falls reachable in about a third of a mile from the parking lot and the Upper Falls farther along the loop. The valley is filled with wild blueberry and blackberry bushes that ripen in late summer, and the trailhead has a parking lot and restroom.
