Cedarvale Maple Syrup Co.
Syracuse, New York
Cedarvale Maple Syrup Co. began in 1977 when Karl Wiles started tapping maple trees on the property, later adding a sugarhouse, retail store and candy kitchen. The owners have since retired from making maple syrup and lease that operation to the Onondaga Nation, but they continue to grow Christmas trees. Visitors can select and cut their own tree on-site or buy pre-cut trees, with five varieties offered: Fraser Fir, Concolor Fir, Balsam Fir, Canaan Fir and Colorado Blue Spruce.
