Hillcrest Ranch is a dry-land, organically farmed olive ranch in Sunol, with about 137 olive trees (Picholine, Mission and Manzanillo varieties) on Pleasanton Ridge. It produces certified-organic extra virgin olive oil and olive-oil soaps. During its open house events, visitors can hike or take a shuttle up to the ranch for olive oil tasting, small olive-mill demonstrations, soap-making demonstrations, olive-brining classes, EVOO baked-good sampling, and a self-guided tour of the historic ranch.
