Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California

Welburn Gourd Farm in the De Luz area of Fallbrook is the largest supplier of hard-shell gourds in the United States, growing gourds on the property since the 1880s. After a 14-year hiatus, the farm revived its Gourd Festival, which celebrates gourd art and the start of the pumpkin and sunflower harvest. Visitors can attend gourd-art classes and hands-on workshops, view an art competition showcase, pick their own pumpkins and sunflowers, and shop from artisans and local vendors.
