Pocahontas Produce (also known as McCalla Produce) is a family farm in Bessemer, Alabama, about 12 miles west of Hoover. Visitors can pick their own blueberries and blackberries on weekends in season, or buy pre-picked berries and seasonal vegetables at an honor-system roadside stand. The farm grows tomatoes, beans, peas, okra, cucumbers, peppers and zucchini, and also sells raw honey. U-pick runs weekends or by weekday appointment, and payment is cash or local checks only.
